Our Ministry

One of the challenges we face as Christians is the amount of distractions in our lives on a daily basis.  Life is full of battles.  We have images, music, television, and people wanting us to be distracted from our faith and fall away from God.  We see failing marriages, neglected children, and addictions taking over society.  We need to put a stop to it!  How do we do that?  We open the bible and do as God instructed us to do.  2 Samuel 10:12 tells us to be strong and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God.  The Lord will do what is good in his sight.  Therefore, we need to be Warriors for God.  Yes, we are only human and we don’t have the strength of God but we DO have our faith and the power of God behind us.  In Psalm 27:1, David reminds us that the Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?  We have God on our side to help us through our fears and he wants us to be working for Him.  To be warriors we must put on the full armor of God.  Ephesians 6 tells us how to do this and how to defend our faith.

Warriors for God is an intervention ministry that focuses on helping people stay on the right path and be disciples for Christ.  Throughout the year we hold events, classes, and studies to help those who may be struggling with loss, depression, marriages, and parenting issues.  We encourage followers to read our blog on a variety of concerns that affect Christians and how we can work together to be Warriors of God and against evil.

Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.  He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. Psalm 144:1-2

Our Warriors

Ginger Turner is the Founder and Director of Warriors for God Ministry. She has a Master’s Degree from Liberty University in Marriage and Family Therapy, is a Board Certified Mental Health Coach, and a Christian Life Coach. Ginger, her husband, and three children reside in the Hill Country of Texas where she teaches and counsels couples, young children, and teenagers. Her focus is on enriching marriages and families, suicide awareness, and coaching the community on Whole Body Wellness. Ginger loves the Lord and lives every day for Him, serving Him in whatever capacity He sets on her path.

Allen Christopherson has served in local churches in Texas and Kansas over many years in ministry.  His experience and knowledge as a pastor provide insight for the ministry.  His passion is to disciple others and help them become fully devoted followers of Christ.  The verse that aids him most in his ministry is John 3:16-17, which points out that God loved us so much that He came to us and offered us a way through Christ to be with Him for eternity.  His desire is for everyone to come to that knowledge and find the peace that can only come through a vibrant relationship with Christ.

Caroline Luna lives with her husband and three children in Alpine, Texas. She started on her Warrior path when she served as the Head of School for Alpine Christian School and took the safety and well-being of the whole campus to heart.  She (along with Ginger) led the staff in a daily attack on the spiritual forces at work against the school and she trained for physical threats as well. She is a licensed attorney and a certified handgun instructor for Texas License to Carry and NRA Pistol, but more interestingly, she is a former worship leader who still loves to play guitar and sing His praises. Thankfully she has been able to fight most of her battles with a bible and/or guitar in hand and not her other weapons of choice.

Heath Turner is the Founder and Director of Warriors for God Ministry. He serves as Bible teacher at his local church and works alongside Ginger in their marriage coaching with couples. Heath offers tremendous knowledge of the Bible through his extensive self-study over the last several years as a Verse by Verse teacher. He loves to talk about the Bible with anyone who wants to know more and enjoys the opportunity to serve others.

Becky has been married to Allen for over 33 years and served alongside him in church ministry throughout that time.  The verses that most impacted her life are Romans 8:28 that says “And we know that all things work together for good for those that love God and are called according to his purpose.”  No matter your past, your scars, your failures, your self doubts, God can use all your messes and mistakes for your ultimate good and the good of others that you may encounter in your life.  There is a purpose even in our pain.  Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.”  We don’t have all the answers but he does.  Trust him.

Ryan Luna is a professor of wildlife management and works daily in God’s creation. He is surrounded by academics that don’t believe in God, which could despond many; however, Ryan can’t help but see how there is no way to explain what we have other than through divine creation. Ryan has been blessed to make a living working with and in God’s creation and passing down knowledge to future generations. Ryan is an avid outdoorsman as well as a firearms instructor. He loves the Lord and tries to glorify him in all he does.
